The Trust Fund shall be held and applied by the Trustees under the name of 'The Clan Macpherson Trust' for the purposes and with the powers and immunities hereinafter stated: 1. To acquire and maintain a museum in the Badenoch District of Inverness-shire. 2. To acquire and display relics and other exhibits within the said museum demonstrating the history, culture and way of life of the Clans in the Scottish Highlands, and in particular but without prejudice to the foregoing, to acquire and display relics and other exhibits pertaining to the Clan Macpherson. 3. To acquire and maintain a library of books on the life, literature, and history of the Highlands of Scotland. 4. To allow the Public access to the museum and to encourage study and research in the library. 5. Generally to encourage and promote the study and preservation of the history, folk-lore, literature, music and traditions of the Highlands of Scotland.
