I. For the benefit of the inhabitants of Coatbridge and its environs to provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation generally. but specifically to provide, or assist in the provision of, allotments with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants generally. but in particular those who have need of such facilities by virtue of their youth, age, infirmity, disability, handicap, poverty, homelessness, unemployment or social and economic circumstances II. To advance the education of the said inhabitants concerning the sciences of agriculture, horticulture and related subjects by promoting and fostering an interest in all aspects of the aforesaid subjects III. To relieve the poverty, suffering and distress and to further the health of the aforesaid people who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress and infurtherance thereof but not otherwise IV. To liaise with, and assist, the statutory and voluntary organisations engaged in promoting the benefit of the aforesaid inhabitants
