The Trust’s purposes are to advance and promote the education of the general public, and in particular the inhabitants of the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, the Parish of Linlithgow, the Environs of the said Burgh and Parish and the links of the said Burgh and Parish, with other places wheresoever situate, without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating voluntary organisations, local authorities and other bodies of whatever status together with the inhabitants in a common effort to establish and maintain a Museum, to be called the Linlithgow Museum
