The company’s objects are: 4.1 The relief of those in need as a result of suffering, distress and/or disadvantage caused by serving or having served in the armed forces (including service in the Reserve Forces) or as members of the merchant marine (in times of war) (“Veterans”) and their families, particularly through the provision of advice and support. 4.2 The advancement of education through raising public awareness of issues affecting the lives of Veterans. 4.3 The advancement of health, and in particular the mental and emotional wellbeing, of: 4.3.1 those suffering from ill health and/or injury, particularly through providing support, advice and information to promote and improve physical and mental health. 4.3.2 individuals resident in Scotland who are suffering from mental and emotional distress as result of a family member being killed or wounded in military service, through the provision of advice and support. 4.4 The provision of recreational, sport, leisure and social opportunities, or the organisation of such activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for Veterans. 4.5 Providing support and advice to serving personnel, Veterans and their families and merchant marine (in time of war), on issues which shall include (but shall not be limited to) pensions, housing, benefits, employment, financial and legal matters, particularly through the operation of drop-in facilities.
