3. (a) The objects for which the Trust is established are (i) to provide or assist in the provision of public facilities for the inhabitants of the landward area from Hurlford to Priestland including without prejudice to the foregoing generality the Towns of Hurlford, Galston, Moscow, Newmilns, Darvel and Priestland and the areas surrounding them including, in the interests of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure time occupation, (ii) to relieve the poverty of inhabitants of the said area by countering the effects of social and economic deprivation therein, and (iii) to preserve and protect or assist in the preservation and protection, for the public benefit of land and buildings of historic or aesthetic interest and the environment generally in the said area.
