The purposes of the Association are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Cleish and the neighbourhood thereof (hereinafter referred to as 'the area of benefit') by providing a meeting place and other facilities within the area of benefit for the purposes of social welfare, recreational activities and leisure time occupations in order to improve the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and to bring together in association the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance community spirit and development.
