(1) the objects of the charity are:(a) the provision of housing accommodation for people who are in need, hardship or distress; and(b) such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustees decide.(2) in appointing residents to the homes, the trustees must give preference to liverymen and freemen of, or people with a valid connection to, the company and their wives, widows and other dependants who are in need, hardship or distress. (3) the land identified in part 1 of the schedule to this scheme must be retained by the trustees for use for the objects of the charity.
