3.The company's objects are (1) To relieve poverty among young people who are resident within West Dunbartonshire ('the Operating Area') (2) To relieve unemployment for the public benefit among young people resident in the Operating Area in such ways as may be thought fit, imluding assistance to find employment (3) To advance health among young people resident in the Operating Area (4) To promote equality and diversity through working towards the elimination of discrimination (whether on the grounds of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or otherwise) in relation to young people resident in the Operating Area, and to promote and support equality of opportunity for all young people resident in the Operating Area irrespective of race, religion, disability, gender or sexual orientation (5) To advance citizenship among young people resident in the Operating Area (6) To advance community development through the promotion of public safety, in particular with regard to young people resident in the Operating Area (7) To advance education among young people resident in the Operating Area (8) To promote andlor support other similar projects and programmes which further a charitable purpose for the benefit of young people resident in the Operating Area. and on the basis that the company shall, in pursuing those objects, promote the participation of young people resident in the Operating Area through consultation and other processes which encourage them to advocate for their own needs.
