TRUST FRAMEWORK

Independence & Conflicts of Interest

This document forms part of the Switch4Good Trust Framework and explains how we operate in this area.

Our Commitment to Independence

Switch4Good is committed to providing unbiased, independent advice and recommendations. We are not owned by any provider or financial institution, and we maintain strict independence in our operations and recommendations.

Our only interest is helping supporters find the best deals while supporting causes they care about. We disclose any commercial or related-party relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing our recommendations.

How We Manage Conflicts of Interest

We acknowledge that earning commissions from providers creates a potential conflict of interest. We manage this through:

  • Commission Transparency: We disclose that we earn commissions and how they're shared
  • Objective Criteria: Recommendations are based on suitability, not commission rates
  • Regular Audits: We audit our recommendations to ensure they remain unbiased
  • Governance: Independent oversight of our operations and recommendations

Commercial Relationships

Switch4Good may enter into commercial relationships with service providers, including businesses connected to its founders, directors, or shareholders.

For example, certain insurance services may be arranged through Revive Insure, a related company. Where such relationships exist, we disclose them clearly so supporters and causes understand the nature of the connection.

In all cases:

  • Recommendations are based on suitability, service quality, and value
  • Commission arrangements are disclosed transparently
  • Supporters remain free to choose alternative providers
  • No supporter or cause is required to use any connected business
  • Commercial relationships do not affect the proportion of commission shared with causes

We believe transparency is the best way to manage potential conflicts of interest. Where a related-party or commercial relationship exists, we state it openly.

Commission Does Not Affect Rankings

This is critical: we never rank or recommend providers based on commission rates. Our rankings are determined by:

  • Value for money and competitive pricing
  • Customer satisfaction and service quality
  • Regulatory compliance and safety
  • Suitability for your specific needs

A provider offering poor value will never be recommended, regardless of commission offered. Conversely, an excellent provider will be recommended even if they offer lower commissions.

No Undisclosed Relationships

We maintain complete transparency about our relationships:

  • We are not owned by any provider or financial institution
  • We disclose all material relationships with partners
  • We do not accept payments for preferential treatment
  • Our team members do not have undisclosed financial interests in providers

Governance & Oversight

We have governance structures in place to ensure independence:

  • Independent board oversight of our operations
  • Regular audits of our recommendations and processes
  • Clear conflict of interest policies for all staff
  • Regular training on ethical practices and independence
