Trust &Transparency.
Our promise is to be clear about how the platform works, how commission is earned, and how support is allocated to causes. If we cannot explain it simply, we should not be doing it.
What transparency means at Switch4Good
Transparency is not a marketing label for us. It is a design constraint. Every decision about how we present services, calculate commission, and communicate with supporters is measured against whether a reasonable person could understand it without specialist knowledge.
Supporters should always be able to answer three questions about any interaction with the platform:
- What is happening commercially? (Who pays whom, and why?)
- What happens to the commission? (How much goes to causes, and how much do we keep?)
- Are there any regulatory constraints? (Does the product type change the rules?)
What we disclose
We publicly disclose the following information across the platform:
- That Switch4Good is a commercial business, not a charity
- That we receive commission from providers when supporters switch
- How commission is split between the platform and causes
- The distinction between FCA-regulated and non-regulated products
- How the Community Fund operates and who it supports
- Our company registration, ownership, and contact details
- Our policies on data protection, cookies, complaints, and vulnerable customers
How we maintain transparency
We use plain English across the platform. We avoid jargon, buried disclaimers, and language designed to confuse. Where regulation requires specific wording, we pair it with a plain-English explanation so supporters can understand what it means in practice.
We review our content regularly to ensure it remains accurate and accessible. When the model changes, we update the relevant pages and communicate the change clearly.
Product type matters
Not all products on the platform are treated the same way. FCA-regulated products, such as certain insurance products, follow different commission allocation rules. For these products, commission is directed to the Community Fund rather than to a named cause. We are clear about this distinction wherever it applies.
Transparency is our
design constraint.
